Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among Canadian women. Regular screening for breast cancer saves lives because it detects cancers before they spread and when they're more likely to be curable. Roughly half of all women ages 40 and older have dense breast tissue. It's essential that women find out their breast density so they seek out alternative ways of finding cancers such as breast ultrasound and MRIs.
