The Importance of Purpose in Action

Krishna tells Arjuna that any action undertaken out of desire for some result will only lead to further desires. Krishna's advice to Arjuna is instead to act according to his duty and nature but remain detached from any self-interest in the results of his actions. We've begun to touch on the figures and texts that will occupy us over the coming episodes, Buddha, Jainism and the Mahabharata.
