The Effects of Interest Rates on the Commercial Real Estate Market
I think we're starting to see it in the commercial real estate market. I have a good friend here in San Diego that's one of the biggest brokers in the life science business. And he said it went from the best in his 30 year career, the best sales and leasing environment you've ever seen to the worst he's ever seen in less than six months. He's actually retiring because there's no business. So I think that's the start of interest rates moving up. The amount of money they've printed has been pushed to astronomical levels. That easy money is going to evaporate or that they're going to print more and more, which is going to be worse.
