Kevin Durant went to the Nets on Monday of Trade Deadline Week and said, I'd like to be traded. So there wasn't a bidding war. Phoenix's front office was aware of this and wanted to be judicious in how they handled the negotiation. The Nets basically did what they did last summer, which was ask for an outrageous trade package and say they weren't going to negotiate.
