The Ancient DNA Revolution
Bones were found under a car park in Leicester. The petros portion of the temple bone is an immense source of DNA. It's the densest bone in the human body, and so that preserves the DNA exceptionally well. We drill a small hole into the base of the skull to collect the powder. Then we give it to our robots, and they extract the DNA. They build what's called ancient DNA libraries, and they're sequenced on the sequencer here.
