Sally Kohn: I heard you say a couple of times that your dynamic had gotten to the place where Jill was parenting Mark at times and your communication style was coming from a parental tone. Parental energy, it reminded me of this theory called transactional analysis, which looks at all communication between spouses, between friends, between employee and employer can have either a parent, an adult, or a child like tone delivery as well. And so when you talk about just having those conversations going on dates, you're really strengthening your adult connection and doing that to be in placeso that that tendency that had gotten into place doesn't happen again.
