Do You Have Standing?
Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer says there are three factors that must be met to prove standing. The plaintiff must have suffered an injury in fact, meaning the injury is of a legally protected interest. It must also be likely rather than speculative that a favorable decision by the court will address the injury. Each one of these lawsuits fails a different part of this potentially, Breyer said.
