Is the EU AI Act a Global Standard?
Some of my friends, especially those in America or those of a political persuasion that dislikes EU meddling, they have expressed horror to me at this possible interference by EU regulation on the innovation possibilities for AI startups. They're saying it's a shame that things will be slowed down by such a regulatory framework. We might see a migration of innovation overseas to other places. Are you sympathetic to these concerns, Ray? I do hear that concern raised a lot, David, as well. And I think there is a likelihood that the EU AI act may develop in a similar way to GDPR, which has effectively become a sort of global standard when it comes to data privacy.
