How Does a Christian League Work?
Salma and the group she was working with recruited around 40 Christian football teams that already existed in the area to form a new league. The idea of adding Muslim players to Christian teams in this context was not simple, but after a lot of convincing, they all agreed to join in. Initially, Salma wasn't sure how it would work, but after going to a match, she was pleasantly surprised. She says: "I didn't expect to see a mascot. I didn't expect ... cheerleading sections"
