Tolkien and Saram On

Saruman is a perfect thing to bring into this discussion. Tolkien doesn't, you don't see him opposing all progress or all technologies. He's not anti-progress by any means. But I think that those who worship progress for its own sake are tend to be the ones who fall in Tolkien's world. And we see that even here in the poem.
