The Parking Brak in a Car, Isn't It?
In a plane, the parking brake control knob is not enough to insure that the brakes get released. The system also requires that pressure be applied to the brake pedals to fully release the parking brake. And just like a car, taxiing and takeoff in this plane can result in increased power necessary to taxi,. longer takeoff rolls and hot, burned or seized brake components with a possible fire in the main gear.
