Felix: HBO had an incredible run during the worst corporate merger of all time. He says there was a huge shift, probably the most important shift in HBO's history took place in the mid 90s. Felix: They realized they couldn't compete with broadcast networks so let's not make serialized TV programming. And that ended up kind of revolutionizing things right out of the gate where you get Sex City, Deadwood, Sopranos and Wire.
