Ontario and Canada Getting Along Pretty Well Since COVID Hit
The governments of Canada and Ontario have been getting along pretty well since COVID hit, but there was a significant bump in the road as you just heard from Doug Ford. The Premier was not at all amused that the federal environment minister, Stephen Gibo, suggested Ontario's plans to change the boundary and develop the Greenbelt run counter to the goals of preparing for climate change. This is a departure, I would say, from the collaborative tone that we have seen between Ottawa and Queen's Park over the last two or three years.
