The Importance of Small Groups in Church
I suspect how large churches fair on the back of this coronavirus will to some extent depend on their philosophy that they've had in terms of developing genuine small group relationships. I'm not saying there's any wrong with the large gathering, but for the health of human development and Christian development, those smaller groups are important too. The challenge is how do you grow that into actually people who are Christian disciples? And it feels like you can only really do that when you actually get to speak to someone face to face. You have opportunities that the online thing works for, but you still got to have that face to face to see an impact in someone's life.
