Julia Ward Howe's Mother's Day
Julia Ward Howe was an active volunteer in the new US sanitary commission. This was to provide sterilization, hygienic environments in hospitals. She also writes the famous Civil War anthem, the battle, him of the Republic. And then she does another predecessor of Mother's Day in 1870: We need a Mother's Day for peace.
