The Senate Agricultural Committee has released a bipartisan bill that would essentially give CFTC the Commodity Futures Training Commission Authority over cash markets, spot markets. It would also give them authority over what is deemed to be digital commodities. The debate over whether a token is a security or a commodity will still remain.
