Jeffrey Cohen's monster theory theses have seven parts. The body of the monster incorporates fears, anxieties, desires and fantasies built around whatever culture that created it. Monster is a harbinger of categorical crisis; dwells at gates of difference. Once you know these things, once you have these in your head, it's hard to unthink these things.
