The Importance of Understanding the Sport

It's essential when it comes to our algorithm development now. We've only been able to identify three or four PhD quant guys who have got an innate understanding of each sport. From the trading perspective the numbers I would dare say that you don't have to know the sport to trade the numbers per se but it helps obviously one of the big things in any sport is momentum and momentum shifts. If you're going to be trading a sport you need to be able to understand and notice them and see them so that's that helps a lot. But certainly it's an absolute prerequisite for our algorithm development that the analyst or the developer in charge of each sport understands the sport innately okay you said?
