Schnorr came up with this really nice signature scheme. It has nice algebraic properties, like it looks elegant from a mathematical point of view in a sense and that also makes it easier to prove it secure. So we are pretty confident that you know signatures are hard to forge and they are actually secure. But for EZDSA, this story is very different. There are some ways to establish proofs for security if EZD SA, but they really like strange models. You need a lot of machinery and a lot of strange side conditions to be able to prove something.
