strength training because of the processes that go on in your body when you strength train, that makes it so that you cannot get as effective adaptations from your bike training and vice versa. These they're effectively conflicting messages. So we send one message, we want one specific set of adaptations, but then we sent an almost opposite message and want adaptations associated with that opposite message. And there's interference between the two sets of messages and their interpretations, and hence the adaptations that we want to come with themAs well as criticism number one has to do with mechanism. The takeaway is that an understanding underlying an understanding underlying mechanism doesn't promise results.
