O God My God, O Widow, for You Have Done All These Things and Those That Went Before

O God my God hear me also, O widow, for you have done all these things and those that went before and those that followed. For they intend to defile your sanctuary and to pollute the tabernacle where your glorious name rests. Behold their pride and send your wrath upon their heads. Crush their arrogance by the hand of a woman. Fine speech is not becoming to a fool. Still less is false speech to a prince. A bribe is like a magic stone in the eyes of him who gives it.
