The Declaration of Independence - The Enigma
In a few years, it's the 250th anniversary of this country. They truly need to circle no further or deeper than the Declaration of Independence to truly understand the spark that created this idea. These natural rights that are spoken of in the preamble were part of the thinking of the day even beginning a century earlier. Thomas Jefferson is, as you say, an enigma. So is the declaration that he creates. It's an incredible astonishing act of genius.
