The second largest response to my pull was actually seeming greedy, or seeming money focus. Salary dot com surveyed hiring managers and found that 84% expected their candidates to nego 84%. So standing your ground will actually be ok in this situation because the hire manager is expecting you to negotiate. It can also improve your position, because it shows that you're not afraid to have these tough conversations,. And that's a trait of a really, really good employee.
