The Power of a Sense of Presence
A sense of presence can be the thing that convinces a witness their house is haunted. Nillefer: Our brain is always looking to rationalise away danger. We can absolutely be haunted by people who used to live in our homes but that doesn't mean it's paranormal. To go from sensing danger and hostility and fear to physically seeing a person that is neither you or your partner standing on the stairs is utterly petrifying.
