Neuro Diverse Individuals Embrace Their Labels

The root word dis is a word changing prefix from greek that means bad, ill, abnormal or faulty. By labelling individuals using these majoritive terms, it's no wonder we tend to focus attention solely on what they do poorly. It's no wonder they begin to think of themselves as broken or abnormal. New terms have been appearing in our vocabulary to describe nero diverse individuals who have disabilities or differences that are far more positive an affirming. These include terms like diff ly wired, nero divergent and bright and quirky.
