The Relationship Between Religion and the Rise of Monotheistic Religions

I think we often equate the rise of patriarchy with the major world religions in reality at the time that they were developed. When Christianity was first emerging you know as a cult in ancient Rome or when Islam was first developing later on these were seen as roots to equality for people. I would argue that religion is one vehicle it doesn't you know you don't necessarily have to have no religion in order to fight against the patriarchy but what we do need to do is rethink it and reinterpret it.
