Anna malica tobbs is a sociologist whose work revolves around the erasure of black women. She says she hopes her book will inspire us to think about ways in which we can alleviate the burden that black women are holding on their own. Anna: All three mothers will outlive their sons, and in two of the cases they will lose two children before they pass away.
