"I started performing publicly around age nine. And so being on a stage learning how to please all these other people that you don't know before you even really know how to delegate your own emotions within yourself," she says. "It gave me compassion for the choices I made and it kind of just allowed me to just take a step back and see, you know, we're all trying to figure it out."
