The vocabulary, the examples, the algarithms and the insight that don knuth has provided in his xcellent collection of books and papers have begun to find their way into a great many discussions. So i'm just going to read one little sentence from it. This is called computer programming as an art, by don knoth. For example, we read in 19 70 of the first steps toward transforming the art of programming into a science. Meanwhile, we have actually succeeded in making our discipline a science and ar in a remarkably simple way, merely by deciding to call it computer science. That's a funny joke. Ah.
