Acetaminophen and Preoperative Uses

acetaminophen is I think a really nice adjunct to folks who are presenting for surgery. The one Contraindication would be someone with liver dysfunction any other patient you would not give preoperative silent all to. Even in patients with Very impaired liver function can tolerate a dose of Tylenol And in fact we would tend to use up to three grams even in patients who have Genuinely impaired almost serotic level liver dysfunction and that's three grams in a 24 hour period.
