The Lone Star State Is Stressed

North Carolina is America's top state for business followed by Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia and Minnesota. Texas drops to last place for life, health and inclusion not just because of its crackdown on LGBTQ rights but also high crime and poor health care. The state does finish second for workforce, but some are leaving like science writer Camille Ray and her bio scientist husband who moved to Maryland to protect their transgender son.
