Before every session, I go over the last two weeks of notes with that patient. Have you ever done therapy before? Yes or no? But and if they say no, I'll say, teach me how to be a good therapist to you. What helps you? Have you ever had coaches in life, friends, mentors, teachers? Do you like hands-on stuff? Does that annoy you? Does it bog you down? does it make you feel stressed out? Do you likes exercises and activities? Or do you prefer to talk it out? You know, and like I try to give them lots of different possible ways to do therapy so they can kind of try on hats and go
