Some people respond to the emotionless stare of a psychopath with considerable discomfort. Others may be completely overwhelmed and intimidated, perhaps even controlled by their gaze. Psychopaths are notorious for not answering the question posed them or for answering in a way that seems unresponsive to the question. Another way to see through the psychopath's mask of sanity is to pay attention to their manner of speaking. Their statements are often contradictory and littered with inconsistencies. Researchers believe the hand movements of a psychopath are a function of how their brain processes words, ideas, and emotions.
