Are We Protecting Future Generations?
Lawyers are, in some sense humans too, which would mean that all cognitive advices apply to them as well. May be a bit more so when selecting research topics intuitively than when thinking about abstract protection levels. We never had the chance to co operate with future ahummans properly. So any sort of co operative evolutionary mechanism did not evolve. Thereis no fepect mechanism. You might argue that there are your children and grandchildren and so on. But those are not reasons why people worry about the long turme future. I don't think we should protect future generations because there may be a few descendants of ourselves but rather because there are billions of millions of people who might be interested
