The Importance of People in a Business
For us, and this isn't probably true for most of the industry, for us, it's 99% people 1% percent sort of the math. We've joked that if you can't get the math to work on the back of a napkin, it's not going to work in a spreadsheet. The people are infinitely complicated. I'm messy. You're messy. Turns out when you get a bunch of messy people together, it's a mess, right? And so we really try to spend time with these companies before buying them.
