The Love Letters of Charles Ward
The boys investigated and they used Charles's pocket knife to pry the panel away from the wall revealing a hollowed out area just a few inches deep. And in that hiding place there was. A load of letters. Correspondents. Love letters I guess you'd say. But all one way all from one person, a man, or presumably a woman who had looked in the house. They were handwritten and the writing was super scrawly and hard to decipher. It was steamy stuff, you know, definitely or rated in places which took a couple of 12 year old boys. You can imagine it piqued our interest.
