Gurt Butler was a member of the Silver Shirts, an American fascist organization that were basically the proud boys of the 1930s. He had a successful career as an engineer and moved to Idaho in the mid-50s in order to become the human center of American fascism. In 1979, the KKK attempted to kick a bunch of Vietnamese refugees out of the town of Sea Drift on the grounds that they were too good at crab fishing.
