Are We Mostly Going to Let Let People Compete?

AI is making it so every everybody on earth can like click the button and generate the trendiest coolest fashion. You know, all the sort of self expressive stuff that was scarce is now abundant. But if you want to stop the self expressive arms race in high schools, then send your kid to a boarding school where they all work. That just for stalls that the collective action problem of the signal, signaling arms race, but then that ends up looking a lot more socially conservative - even if it has a capital E enlightenment outcome.
