Rolles's Theory of Health

In the early attempts to extend roles's theory, there were a number of people who thought rolles made a simple mistake and excluded health and health care from the category of primary social goods. My view was that you did job extending his theory with fewer modifications of the theory if you found room for institutions that promoted health within an existing good like opportunity.
