Fantasy Worlds Aren't as Complex as Real Worlds

I was a big dragon lance kid as a child. I think that it's nice when fictional world building is just as complicated and messy as real world building, even if not as satisfactory from a fan point of view. That was how i read fantasy books growing up. Was just like, oh, there's a new one in this world to day, and it takes place in this age. And also, this thing is concurrent, but we're in a different country to day. As you do. You know the an lance books? No, but i'm intrigued.
