How to Be Effective With All the Tools in the World
Software is like a bar of gold sitting in a safe because it perishes. Security itself is a code quality issue, much like you would not ship if your code didn't pass through the linter clearly. The log4j thing elevated to a board conversation for many large organizations that are not technology organizations when their auditor's told them they could be liable for millions of dollars in breaches. And what we don't have in FASB accounting standards and insurance industry is a great objective way of being able to measure what's the negative asset value of a software code base.
