The Science of Science on Twiv

Scientists generally don't involve their own experiences and personalities in their science or at least when they communicate to other scientists. Scientists are not used to that because it's not what they do. As Tim says, it really engages people, especially if it's related to the subject matter of whatever podcast you're doing. There's a reason why the TED format works in terms of being able to communicate ideas. I think part of it is this relatability.
