The Importance of Recognizing Political Ideals
The practical application of political ideology rarely resembles any kind of truly faithful reproduction. The recognition that political ideals are never fully realized or fully realizable can be fuel for hope or despair, greater tolerance or never-ending frustration, joy or depression. This observation also helps me to temper my own temptations to assert the truth of certain political positions I covered and to get carried away with ideals I wish to see realized. It can be terrible to lose one's desires for a noble savior to come and fix all these problems we see around us. But there's also an opportunity to mature and leave behind the long lost father or mother you've been searching for or in Jeremy Corbyn's case, Dower Uncle
