When people become angry with you for saying no, just stop and think about it. And when you're considering your self care and your needs, just remember they do not have to always be in front of everybody else's. They need to be evaluated as importantly as the other important people in your life. It is a needless, wantless state that says, actually, if i put my hand up and say, i do need something, i feel ashamed because my conditioned state is that now i'll be all right, i don't need. So recovery is trying to inspire the person who learned safety in not needing. You have to inspire an appetite in that person to ask for help without feeling
