Perception of the Internal State of the Body
We perceive the world as it's useful for us to do so. The brain has to know what the internal state of the body is like. It doesn't have any direct access to it just because it's wrapped within a single layer of skin. So it still has to interpret and bring to bear predictions and expectations in order to make sense of the barrage of sensory stiggles coming from inside the body. And i think this gives us a clue here about wy experiences of mood and emotion and of feel, like the most basic essence of selfhood, have this non object like character.
