Jeffrey McDonald Collapsing in the Bedroom?

The blood is going to tell a big story in this case, says CNN's John Sutter. He asks: Was the phone that he used somewhere else in the house? And did he have enough capability after he makes his phone call to get all the way back into this bedroom to his wife? Then why is he collapsing at that point? So I need to know more about his injuries and the timeframe from the call to the emergency services.
