Dollar and pound share a currency pair, the dollar, but they don't affect each other. So you may see movement in the same direction based on the dollar strength or weakness, but one chart doesn't affect the other chart at all. You need not look at them as being the same at all. They are separate traits. There's no reason to expect the same result on both pairs.
