The carpequerations were wicked, anti-nominee. They were horrible. It's quite possible they were evil and they got something right. But that said, what are they as to say? He does not. The sentence in question does not actually claim that the carpequerades believed in universal salvation. That's pretty thin stuff for claiming that this is some kind of Gnostic heresy that corrupted the early church.
