The Origins of Kissing
Sculptures of couples seem to hint at the fact that something is going on where this might also have occurred. It really does kind of imply that it's unlikely that kissing didn't hit Europe until 300 CE. The question is, if many of these ancient societies, they must have known about it even if they didn't practice it.
