Brett Favre's daughter was playing volleyball at the university and that's why he wanted to see this stadium built. It is important to note that from 2020 near the beginning, Brett Favre has denied knowing that this money came from this temporary assistance for needy families program. He did not pay the remainder of it back until more than a year later after a separate forensic audit came out in October of 2021. The auditor's office says that he owes interest on that money for the time that he had had it and he has not paid the interest on it.
